URGENT NEED: D4G has received a request for child-sized masks
for a school in the Dominican Republic. Contact D4G to learn more.
In response to the CDCs recommendation that everyone should wear a mask in public, D4G sewists have transitioned to sewing masks for their local US communities and essential workers free of charge.
The Kenyan Sewing enterprise has also transitioned to sewing masks for their community. Gladys and Mary are sewing to provide masks to the Deaconess teams, deaf school, and immediate community. There is increasing food insecurity in Kenya as a result of the stay-at-home order.
In resonse to the crisis, D4G has released funds for the Kenyan team to increase liquid soap production, sew masks, and purchase necessities for the Grace Community Center's relief efforts. Please keep our Kenyan sisters and brothers in your prayers and consider making a donation.
