Dignity4Girls has chosen to work with Daysforgirls.org because they have created a product that serves the unique needs of women and girls in developing areas. The shield contains a special fabric called PUL which creates a moisture barrier to prevent leaks. The liners are designed to be easily washed and dried- preventing the growth of bacteria.
If there are no local groups near you, you can sign up as a "Solo Sewist". Days for Girls offers great support to solo sewers and will connect you with an expert to answer your sewing questions.
If you are a Thrivent member, you can apply for a Thrivent Action Team Grant to find funding for your sew-in. Visit Thrivent for more information on grants.
When you are ready to ship, please contact D4G at Dignity4girls@gmail.com. to receive shipping instructions. Individual kit components can be sent to Dignity4Girls. Completed kits need to be shipped directly to Orphan Grain Train with special notations.
