D4G seeks to empower nationals through skills training. Funds raised in the US bring opportunities to women and girls to attend trade school and learn business practices. Through a donation, Gladys, a Kenyan seamstress was sent to the Days for Girls training camp in Uganda to be trained in sewing hygiene products as well as business management. Gladys has now set up shop in Kenya, continues to attend official DfG group sessions and is training local women to sew the much needed pads!
In 2020, the sewists created 540 kits and in 2021 they almost doubled those served by sewing over 1,000 kits . Let's help them increase the number of girls blessed in 2022!
Help the enterprise sew kits for girls by donating towards fabric and machines
