D4G seeks to empower nationals through skills training. Funds raised in the US bring opportunities to women and girls to learn sewing skills. Through a donation, Gladys, a Kenyan seamstress was sent to the Days for Girls training camp in Uganda to be trained in sewing hygiene products as well as business management. Gladys has now set up shop in Kenya, continues to attend official DfG group sessions and is training local women to sew the much needed pads!
The sewing enterprise has created over 3000 washable pads. They hope and pray they can increase their reach each year.
Help the enterprise sew kits for girls by donating towards fabric and machines
